Pricing

The cost of purchasing credits and spending credits explained.

Generating images is free in PixelPet. There are some paid features.

PixelPet allows you to generate images for free in 1024x1024 (or landscape/portrait) resolution. Upon start, you get 100 credits that allow you to use additional features as described below. Once you run out, you can keep using PixelPet for free without these options or purchase more credits.

Fast lane
With credits, you gain access to fast lane image generation, bypassing the majority of the queue. Once you run out, you can still keep using PixelPet for free, but generating an image may take a little longer.

Upscaling
Enlarge your best works two double the size! This also greatly increases the quality of the generated images, adding more detail. Currently, upscaling is only available on Discord.

The credits you have with PixelPet allow you to generate images. Generally speaking 100 credits would allow you to generate around 100 images. The amount of generated images per credit depends on the load you put on the server. These are factors that you control, such as the amount of images you create but also the size of the image (and for the users of PixelPet in Photoshop, the number of steps), will impact the server load. Per job, a minimum of 0.1 credits will be charged.

Examples:
A single 1048 x 1048 pixel image costs 0.7 credits.
A single portrait or landscape image of 3072x2048, costs 1 credit.

The formula above will be extrapolated proportionally to your request.

Note 1: For users of our Photoshop plugin, expenses are calculated and communicated in the PixelPet panel before you press the generate button. It’s an extrapolation of the above mentioned cost example.

Note 2: Switching to a different model will impact server load and may lead to additional credit costs.

Note 3: Entering a high number for the amount of pictures to be generated, may require cutting the job into batches due to memory limitations. More batches will impact server load and may lead to additional credit costs.

Purchasing new credits

Credits are available for purchase at a rate of USD $10 per 1000 credits. This means that a 2048x2048 image would cost you USD $0.007 to generate. Currently, our only payment option is with credit card, offered by Stripe.

Expiration of credits

Currently, credits are set to expire after 3 months. The main reason for this decision is that we are in a start-up phase. To ensure our customers receive what they pay for, we need to cover our server costs. If PixelPet can’t get enough traction in our user base to cover our costs, we will have to do that from our own pocket. This is something we can’t guarantee for more than three months.

We are looking forward to extending the expiration date of credits when we reach enough paying customers.
